Who We Are

Dallon Allen is a freshman drama major who is very excited to participate in the Pandemic Theatre Project. They have been involved in dance and theatre since childhood, mostly onstage. They continue to be drawn to theatre because of the people involved and the friendly environment in addition to the beauty of creation and art, and hope that the project will help find new ways to keep those going in the world.

Jack Cook is a Lighting designer for the Pandemic Theatre Project. He also has worked as a lighting technician for the Drama Department for over a year. He has acted in campus shows like War of The Worlds and A Company of Wayward Saints. He also has worked as assistant stage manager for Hedda Gabler with the same director of this show. His major is focusing on lighting and multimedia design. Jack is very excited to work on the pandemic theatre project this year. He can’t wait to create a show that moves and entertains people in the midst of this pandemic.

Claire Daniel is a Lighting Designer for the Pandemic Theatre Project. She is also the House Electrician for the Drama Department. She is a Senior graduating with a Drama major and a New Media Minor. She has worked on many productions at UNCA and Asheville Community Theatre. A few of them being “Into the Woods”, “Sunset Limited”, “War of the Worlds”, “Metamorphosis”, “The Absurdists Shows”, and “She Kills Monsters”. At ACT some of the shows include “9 to 5”, “Avenue Q”, “Footloose”, “Hands on a HardBody”, and “The Wizard of Oz”. Not only did she do run crew for most of these shows she was also the assistant lighting designer on a few of them. She hopes that this pandemic project will open up more opportunities for the theatre world. She is extremely excited to graduate this May.

Kerigan Martin is a junior at UNCA and a drama major with a K-12 teacher licensure. Kerigan is from a small town in North Carolina near Winston Salem. She grew up dancing and creating and got into acting and theater around the age of 12.  She has been practicing theater for a large portion of her life and is most drawn to acting and costume areas of drama. She has helped with costume crew at UNCA and was Scapino in A company of Wayward Saints. She hopes to find a good way to present theater in these daunting times and help others find comfort while being apart.

Alex McFadden is a theatre actor for the Pandemic Theatre Project. He has been working in the theatre since he was twelve years old. He has mostly done acting work but has some experience backstage as well. Originally from Wilmington, he is now a freshman at UNCA and plans on graduating with a bachelors in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship.   He is ecstatic for the PTP knowing that it will help broaden his understanding of theatre and the performing arts. Grateful for the opportunity in such hard times Alex would like to shout out Jeff for being such a constant in his life.

Brónagh O’Shea is a Theatre artist for the Pandemic Theatre Project. Brónagh has been involved in theatre for almost 7 years now starting in Ireland. Mainly working with the design and background aspect of shows. Brónagh is a sophomore pursuing a major in Drama and hopefully a minor in Management. This is Brónagh’s fourth production involved with UNC Asheville. Brónagh is excited to see where this project will go and to see new theatre unfold. 

Chandler Pelliciotta is a Theatre Actor for the Pandemic Theatre Project. She has a fascination for the process of theatre and is very excited for the opportunity to broaden her scope of live performance during these times. She has worked as an actor and crew member since elementary school, which has helped inspire her goals of becoming an actress as a career.  

Samantha Schroder is an Actor for the Pandemic Theatre Project. She has been involved in theatre either on stage or behind the scenes since fifth grade. She lives in Arden, North Carolina and is a freshman this year at UNCA. Samantha plans on double majoring in theatre and biology. She can’t wait to learn the history of different cultures’ theatres  and put them together in a way that would work in a pandemic.

Will Skinner is an actor for the Pandemic Theatre Project. Will’s home theatre is Lakeland Theatre Company in Littleton North Carolina and they have been involved in theatre both as cast and crew for ten years now. Will is currently a Junior at UNCA and is a drama major and a history minor. They were also involved in ‘Nothings Happening: A Black Mountain College Project back in the spring 2019 season. They plan to go into historic interpreting after college and want to explore how history connects with our current pandemic.

Aaron Snook is the Pandemic Theatre’s director.  A North Carolina native, Aaron spent 14 years as a theatre artist in Chicago before moving to Asheville in 2016. With a BA from Duke University in Drama and English and an MFA from Northwestern University in Theatre Directing, Aaron co-founded and leads the American Myth Center, a non-profit performing arts organization committed to providing free theatre and sparking necessary conversation within the community. Arden Stockdell-Giesler, published poet and writer, is an actor for The Pandemic Theatre Project. She has spent six years in theatre and exploring the craft, though this is only her second production at UNC Asheville–the first being Hedda Gabler her sophomore year. Now in her junior year, she is pursuing a BA in Creative Writing with a minor in Drama. The Pandemic Theatre Project is an opportunity for her to blend creative passions and explore what the future means for performance alongside people just as eager. Post graduation, Arden intends to pursue her MA and PhD in Creative Writing and pursue professorship.

Cammie Varner is an actor for The Pandemic Theatre Project. She has been acting for around five years, first at her high school back in Richmond, Virginia, and now here at UNCA. This is her second time participating in a show here at UNCA after acting in Hedda Gabler, and is so excited to see where this project takes us. Cammie is a junior Drama major and is excited to see how this project goes and to learn more about the future of theatre. She is not sure of what her plans after graduation are, but is looking forward to seeing what the future holds.

Rae Williams is a theater artist excited to be participating in The Pandemic Theatre Project this semester. Rae’s main focus in theater has been scenic design and stage management, though they have taken classes in other design aspects. In the past, they’ve set design one show in Carol Belk Theatre, and have stage managed a few children shows with Asheville Community Theater’s Youth Production classes. They are excited to learn about how to continue to do theatre in this time of change. After graduating from UNC Asheville, they plan on going to graduate school for Theatre for Youth and Applied Theatre.

Mikayla Wilson is the stage manager for The Pandemic Theatre Project. This is her fifth time stage managing a production but the first time creating theater during a pandemic. Mikayla has always enjoyed theater and being a stage manager allows her to enjoy every part of it. She hopes to bring this information about pandemic theater in a way that allows other theater artists to safely create art during these interesting times. Mikayla hopes to go to graduate school for arts management after graduating from UNC-A.
